Brittany is a full time Counsellor at Ruah, who provides individual counselling services in the areas of complex trauma, ADHD management, healthy relationships, grief, suicide loss, anxiety, depression and anger. She began her career with Ruah in 2022.

She has experience facilitating various group programs at Ruah, including Grief and Suicide Loss, When You See Red for Women and Effective Communication.

Brittany is a registered social worker (BSW, MSW) with the Newfoundland and Labrador College of Social Workers (NLCSW). She has a Bachelor of Arts (2012) with a major in psychology, a Bachelor of Social Work degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland (2015), and a Master of Social Work degree from Dalhousie University (2022).

Brittany has experience in clinical assessment, counselling, and case management with adults, children, youth, and families. She has experience working in the community with children and adults with disabilities, facilitating groups, and providing community outreach services and presentations. She has completed training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Polyvagal Theory. Brittany completed a Trauma certificate program through Wilfred Laurier and has additional specialized training in Trauma approaches and interventions. Brittany brings a strengths-based, person-centered approach to her clinical work with clients and has a passion for working with clients healing from trauma.
